Japanese Boy Band

MADKID is a Japanese boyband consisting of 2 rappers (LIN and YUKI) and 3 vocalist (YOU-TA, SHIN, KAZUKI). They formed in 2014 and made their major debut in 2018.

In 2019, the group released the song “RISE” for the TV anime "The Rising of the Shield Hero" and it quickly became a hit all over the world.

They were later able to release their song “FAITH”,“Bring Back”, which became the second opening for the series.

In January 2023, MADKID released “PARANOID” as the theme song for the Netflix anime series "Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre”.

In October the same year, they released their new single “SIN” which became the theme song for Season 3 of "The Rising of the Shield Hero”.

In December 2023, they released their new single “FLY”, the opening theme for the new TV anime series “Sasaki and Peeps" that will release in January 2024.

In February 2024 it has been announced that MADKID are also doing the opening theme for the TV Anime “Tadaima, Okaeri” which will release in April. The theme song is titled “Futatsu no Kotoba (Two Words)".

With their astonishing rap work and powerful vocals, they make for a one-of-a-kind performance.

MADKID will be preforming and appearing for the first time in Canada at Anime North 2024. The concert is scheduled for Saturday May 25, 2024. Check the convention schedule for the location and time. This performance has been organized in association with J-rock North Promotions Inc. and NIPPON COLUMBIA CO., LTD.
