Anime North Registration Pre-Registration for Anime North 2011, to be held May 27-29, 2011, will open early January 2011.Note: the information below largely refers to Anime North 2010 and is provided for reference. All dates/prices/details may change when Registration opens in January 2011 for Anime North 2011. Memberships to Anime North 2011 will be available at the door of the convention, or before the con through Pre-Registration. Anime North merchandise and special event tickets can also be pre-ordered along with your membership. All members of the convention are required to wear an Anime North convention badge at the con, as proof that you have purchased a membership and are entitled to attend all the convention's functions. Badges are obtained at the Registration Desk, which will be located in the Toronto Congress Center just inside the main entrance doors of Hall F. Attendees are required to print their full names on the badges. If you have pre-registered for the convention, please bring a copy of your confirmation form to the Registration Desk to obtain your Anime North badge. Single Memberships (Closed)
Single Anime North Memberships are for 1 Adult or Child each. Note that multiple single memberships can be ordered at a time. Prices for single memberships are: To March 12: $45 CDN / USD From March 13 to May 7: $55 CDN / USD After a single pre-registration form, or online order, is received and processed, a confirmation form for each single membership purchased will be sent back by email or letter. Please bring a copy of this confirmation with you to the Registration Desk when you first arrive at the convention to receive your convention badge. Providing a valid email address will ensure a quicker response to your registration. Anime North does not trade or sell email addresses; they are kept confidential. Group Memberships (Closed)
Group Anime North Memberships allows groups of 10 or more people to pre-register at special prices: To March 12: $40 CDN / USD per group member ($20 CDN / USD per child group member) From March 13 to April 16: $50 CDN / USD per group member ($25 CDN / USD per child group member) Groups must pre-register in advance; group memberships cannot be purchased at the door. Group memberships (not including children) are now available through Online Pre-Registration. Details are available below. Please note: group registrations including children are not available online, but must be purchased through the regular mail by printing out, completing and mailing in the Group Registration form with payment by cheque or money order. After a group pre-registration form, or online order, is received and processed, individual confirmation forms will be sent out to all group members. Copies will also be sent to the group leader. Please bring these forms with you to the Registration Desk when you first arrive at the convention to receive your convention badge. Anime North 2011 T-Shirts are $20 CDN / USD, and can be purchased through Pre-Registration or at the convention. To pre-order T-Shirts, note how many (including sizes: Small, Med, Large, XL, XXL (Note, XXL shirts are an extra $2.50)) you wish to purchase on the registration form, and include payment along with your membership fee. T-Shirts purchased through Pre-Registration will be available for pickup at the Merchandise Desk at the con; they will not be available before the con. Momiji Awards Brunch An Anime North tradition- each year we present the "Momiji Award" to an individual or group of individuals who have made a significant contribution to anime, manga or Japanese culture. Join our guests on Saturday 11 AM - 1 PM in the Doubletree Hotel for a hearty, all-Canadian menu of bacon, ham, eggs, pancakes and all your favourite breakfast treats.
Tickets are $25 CDN / USD for this buffet-style brunch. Only limited space is available for this event, so to ensure that it is not oversold, Brunch tickets are only available through Pre-Registration; they will not be sold at the con. The Brunch is a popular event, so purchase your ticket early if you want to attend. Tickets will be available for pickup at the Registration Desk at the con. Moonlight Ball The Moonlight Ball, a semi-formal dance event, will be held Friday evening, May 28, at the Airport Marriott Hotel. There will be dancing (medieval and modern), games, contests, refreshments, and prizes. Full details are available at the Moonlight Ball page under Programming.. Thursday Night Pre-Registration Check-In
Pre-Registrations will be available for pickup at the Registration Desk in the Toronto Congress Centre during all three days of the convention. Anime North will also be having a Pre-Registration only check-in Thursday night, May 24, at the Doubletree Hotel. This will allow attendees who have pre-registered to pick up their convention badges and registration packets ahead of time. Registrations to Anime North 2011 will NOT be sold at this event. It is for pre-registered attendees only. Attendees can also pick up badges for friends, if they bring their confirmation forms with them. The check-in will run from 5PM - 9PM in the South Lobby of the Doubletree. Brunch and Moonlight Ball tickets will be available for pickup. There will also be a Weapons Check desk open. Any convention function not specifically mentioned here will not be available Thursday night. The con does not officially start until Friday and most departments will still be in the early stages of setup. Attendees can also pick up badges for friends if they bring their Confirmation forms. Note that once you do, you are responsible for getting the badges to them; they cannot pick up another from the Registration Desk.Group Leaders can pick up his/hers entire group's badges and registration packets, if he brings his/her own confirmation form to identify him as a group leader. Also, please note that for the rest of the con, the Registration Desk will be located in the Toronto Congress Centre, just inside the main entrance to Hall F. Refund Policy
If you have pre-registered and cannot attend Anime North 2011, please contact Anime North Registration by May 13th, 2011 to arrange for a refund. Unused pre-registrations will not be refunded after the convention. Refunds can take the following forms: Your pre-registration fee can be returned to you (Anime North will deduct $2 to cover bank/postage fees). If you registered by mail, a cheque will be mailed back to the requester. This would take 4-6 weeks. Please include a mailing address and the name the cheque should be made out to with your refund request. If you registered online, the refund can be sent back through Paypal (as long as the request comes within two months of purchase). This would take 3-4 days.
The pre-registration can be transferred to another person. Please provide a complete name and contact address (including email) for the new person. The pre-registration can be rolled over to next year.
