Greetings to all! Welcome to the Gaming Events for Anime North's Gaming 2010.

In this section of the website you can find all things events related. This can include highlights of your favorite RPGs, GCGs, and other Games events. Card Game Events

Collectible card games (CCGs), also called trading card games (TCGs) or customizable card games (CCGs), are played using specially designed sets of cards. While trading cards have been around for longer, CCGs combine the appeal of collecting with strategic gameplay.

Pen and Paper: Role-Playing Games

Pen and Paper: Role-Playing Games (RPG's; often roleplaying game) is a game in which the participants assume the roles of fictional characters and collaboratively create or follow stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, players can improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

BATTLE ROYAL 2010 (Convention Edition) - RPG: LARP
Anime North may never be the same again....

A mysterious group has gotten together, and decided to try out their own version of Battle Royal (a cult movie they all loved). Thing is, they didn't want to blow anyone up, nor did they want to announce their plans. So it came down to a simple decision; find a large group of people, gathered in a central location, and let the good times roll. Anime North was picked, and the plans were set in motion. Infiltrating the ranks of con-goers was easy enough, and to place those lovely tags on people was even easier. No one thought to ask why they were being given the tag, except that they were promised that it would add to the excitement of their weekend at Anime North. But, as the sun started to decend on that fateful Friday, a little voice could be heard coming from those innocent
 (and ugly) looking tags: WARNING: Battle Royal will now begin. Players, good luck, and may you survive the weekend!

Underworld - RPG: LARP
- Live Action Role Play The Underworld Live Action Role Playing Group that is a fantasy, medieval, live roleplaying system. Its complex and

intelligent rules allow for broad character development including aspects of race, culture, socio-economic, background, and faith. Not for the faint of heart, the Underworld LARP has a minimum age restriction of 18 years of age. Underworld prides itself on a wide variety of plot; from the fun adventures which LARPers have come to love, to those which include mature subject matter and challenging social issues that may be unsuitable for some. All players must sign our Waiver/Health form before playing to ensure that they fully understand their obligations and restrictions.

World of Darkness - Toronto. RPG: LARP
As your light turns into darkness and that darkness grows further into the Horror of nightmares , can anyone find the light of hopefulness with ones self?

Video Gaming

As some may know: video game's are games that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The word video in video game traditionally referred to a raster display device However, with the popular use of the term "video game", it now implies any type of display device. The electronic systems used to play video games are known as platforms; examples of these are personal computers and video game consoles. These platforms are broad in range, from large computers to small handheld devices.

ANGaming's Mario Festival -2010
 A celebration of everything Mario! We've scattered events all through the con to deal with Mario and all the crazyness there of. Games hes ever been in. Whether its playing go-karts or Tennis, maybe saving the princess again, or saving the Princess again....with YOSHI! Rock Band Idol - It's time to Rock out!
So let's start with the fun! R.B.i 09' starts at 5:00pm , and runs until 10:oo pm ( this may change depending on the number of bands that sign up.) Frist your band will play two songs, and bands can range in size from to to four people, but if you're a band of two your band will be going to be losing a few points unless you can play more of the parts at once. Board Games 

Our board games  is a game played with counters or pieces that are placed on, removed from, or moved across a "board" (a premarked surface, usually specific to that game). Simple board games often make ideal "family entertainment" since they are often appropriate for all ages. Some board games, such as chess, go/weiqi, xiangqi, shogi, or oware, have intense strategic value and have been classics for centuries.

Game sign-ups for Events and Tournaments  games will be made available on the day in which they run at the convention itself. More details will be available in the Convention Handbook that will be given out to each attendee when they arrive.

Please note that while we will always do our best to ensure that all games listed will be available to all attendees. Many events will have a limited number of player spaces available - so remember to register for them early! Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
