The Hairy Tarantula North is very excited to be hosting a Wizards Premium Event at Anime North this year.

When: Sunday, May 27th, 2012. Registration 9am, Start time, 10:00am

Where: Anime North, Toronto Congress Centre

Format: Standard Constructed, deck list required. Swiss rounds based on attendance, followed by top 8 single elimination. This is a 3x planeswalker points event.

Entry: $25 (Note, you must have a Sunday pass to Anime North to enter in the event.)

Prizes

1st place wins 6 Booster boxes of Avacyn Restored (or $660 value).

2nd place 3 Booster Boxes of Avacyn Restored (or $340 value).

3rd and 4th place win 1 Booster Box (or $113 value).

5th-8th place win $50 store credit. Prizes Guaranteed at 48 Players.

Prizes will increase with attendance over 72 players. Store credit may be used at the event.

Friday Night Drafts: There will be 8 man, $15 Drafts running. They will be single elimination, 6, 4, 1, 1 prize pay-out Friday

Win a box: We will be running Standard constructed win a box. $15 Entry, Single elimination, 1st place wins a box. 

Saturday afternoon Avacyn Restored Game Day: 11:00am. $10 Entry. Players get full art game day promos while supplies last. Swiss rounds based on attendance, cut to top 8.

Important Information

Pre-registration for this event will begin on March 17th at the Hairy Tarantula Downtown and the Hairy Tarantula North. When you pre-register before May 1st, you either get 10% discount or you get free entry into any weekly standard event at the Hairy Tarantula North or $5 entry into an econo draft at the Hairy Tarantula North. There will be three WPN Premium Tournament Qualifiers run for this event. Winners of each qualifier tournament will be awarded a 2 round bye to the main event plus additonal prizes.

The Hairy Tarantula North Qualifier

When: Sunday, May 13th, 1:30pm

Where: Hairy Tarantula North, 6979 Yonge St.

Entry: $10, or $5 If you have pre-registered for the main event already.

Prizes: 1st place wins a 2 round bye at the main event and a Snapcaster mage. Top 4 win

store credit based on attendance.

Format: Standard Constructed, Swiss rounds based on attendance, then cut to top 8.

The Hairy Tarantula û Downtown Qualifier

When: Sunday, May 6th, 1:30pm

Where: Hairy Tarantula Downtown, 354 Yonge St.

Entry: $10, or $5 If you have pre-registered for the main event already.

Prizes: 1st place wins a 2 round bye at the main event and a Snapcaster mage. Top 4 win

store credit based on attendance.

Format: Standard Constructed, Swiss rounds based on attendance.

The Friendly Troll Qualifier

When: Sunday April 15th, 2:00pm

Where: The Friendly Troll, 5298 Yonge St.

Entry: $10

Prizes: 1st place wins a 2 round bye at the main event and a Snapcaster mage. 2nd place

wins 6 Booster packs, 3rd and 4th place win 3 booster packs, 5th-8th win 1 booster pack.

Format: Standard Constructed, Swiss rounds based on attendance.
