Message from Hitomi Nabatame
Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I'm a voice actress, my name is Hitomi Nabatame. Mai Goto, who participated in this event last year, told me, "Canada is a wonderful place, the event was a lot of fun". So even though I'm nervous to go somewhere I haven't been before, I'm looking forward to it! I think it's so great that all of us who live in different places and speak different languages get to meet through anime. I loved acting, but somehow ended up in voice acting. I'm happy and surprised that that one step I took has grown so much. Sometimes I get letters from oversea fans, but I rarely get to meet them, which is why I'm so grateful to have this opportunity. I know there are a lot of people who don't know me. It would be great if more people could get to know myself and other Japanese voice actors through this event. I hope I can have a great time with everyone! Thank you.

In a post-apocalyptic world devoid of electricity, a small group of survivors band together in search of food, shelter and the most precious resource of all—classic lines from The Simpsons. Part pop musical, part chilling contemporary allegory, and part Simpsons celebration, MR. BURNS is a live, animated exploration of how the pop culture of one era evolves into the mythology of another.
Mr. Burns starts May 9th at the historic Aztec Theatre. For tickets and more information, visit mrburns.ca.

Message from Asami Shimoda
Hello everyone. Nice to meet you. I'm Asami Shimoda, and I'm a voice actress. When it was decided that I would be attending Anime North, I was so happy it felt like I just won the lottery. I have been to an oversea event once in the past, but it will be my first time visiting Canada. I will be with a translator, but I would like to be able to say something in a language the locals understand. I'm not sure I will be able to speak correctly, but please be nice and watch over me (laughs). I hope I'll get a chance to talk to everyone, I'm looking forward to it. I'm very excited to meet a lot of people for the first time, and wonder what kind of people I will get to meet. Those who are going from Japan,I realize it's a lot of trouble, but your support really encourages me! Since it's a rare chance, I want to eat delicious food and see the beautiful scenery too! Oh, and what souvenir should I get? I'm just so excited! I hope the weather will be good, and that everyone will be in a good health when we meet. I will go in perfect condition too☆
