Corinne Orr
Anime North is proud to welcome Corinne Orr back home, being born in Montreal and crediting her early career in Canada. She began her professional career at age 14, appearing in various CBC television and radio dramas. Her first daily kids’ TV show was “Chez Helene”. She played “Rosalind” for the Montreal Shakespearian Company, and acted at the Mountain Playhouse and the Crest Theatre in Toronto.
Since working in the Big Apple, Corinne has been credited for over 200 voice-over roles in animation, commercials, and English-dubbed foreign movies. This multi-voice talent is most well known for her role as the English voice of Trixie for the cult classic, “Speed Racer”, where she also voiced Spritle and all the female roles.
Some of her credits include “Kai doh maru” (Ohni-hime and additional voices), Marine Boy (M.B., Neptina and & Cli-Cli), Star Blazers (Nova), Galaxy Rangers (witch), Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders (Queen Kale), Disney’s “Peanut Butter & Jelly” (Wanda Racoon and Shirley Duck), Stanley & the Great Big Book of Everything (Grandma Griff), Sesame Street (various voices), and is presently the voice of “Snuggle the Bear” from the Snuggles commercials.
She has also appeared as her legendary self in the feature-length documentary, “Otaku Unite”.
