Anime North 2005 will
be held on the weekend of May 27-29 (Memorial Day weekend) at the Toronto
Congress Center, 650 Dixon Road, and at the Doubletree International Plaza
Hotel, 655 Dixon Rd. (directly across the street). Daily parking
is free at the Toronto Congress Center.
Guest rooms at convention
rates will be available at the Doubletree and at the nearby Park Plaza
hotel. A shuttle bus will be running from the Park Plaza to the TCC at
half-hour intervals during peak convention times.

The Malton 58 bus westbound, from Lawrence West subway station stops right
in front of the TCC, a stop past Martin Grove. To reach the Park Plaza
Hotel, go one stop further west and get off at Skyway. Head north on
Skyway then east on Carlson Court. For further directions, or alternate

From Square One, take the number 7 bus north. The bus stops at Dixon Road
and Carlingview. Change to the TTC Malton 58 bus eastbound. This requires
paying a new fare. This bus stops at the Doubletree International Plaza

From either York Mills or the Yorkdale bus terminal take the Brampton
Local bus via Dixon Road. Ask to be let off at Martin Grove. The TCC is
short walk west. To reach the Park Plaza ask to be let off at Skyway,
then walk north on Skyway and east on Carlson Court. For further

Take Dixon Road east. TCC is located just past Highway 27 on the north
side. To reach the Park Plaza, take Dixon Road east, go north on
Skyway just before Highway 27, and then east on Carlson Court.
From downtown Toronto:
Take Highway QEW west to Highway 427, north to 401 eastbound. Exit
Martingrove and go west on Dixon. The TCC is located on the north side
Dixon just west of the exit. The reach the Park Plaza, continue over
Highway 27 to Skyway. Go north and then east on Carlson Court.

Please note that there are only a limited number of rooms available at
the convention rate. You are advised to make your reservation before the
last week of April.
In order to reserve a room, there must adult supervision and hence at
least one adult of legal age (18 years +) staying in the room. No minors
will be able to stay at a hotel without adult supervision.
Appropriate action will be taken in the case of attendees who are found
to be in violation of hotel rules for use of guests rooms. Violations
include, but are not limited to the following.
- Exceeding the maximum
of four people per hotel rooms. If more than four are staying in a guest
room, the hotel management will evict anyone who is not registered with
them as a guest.
- Charging admission
to a room party serving alcohol without a liquor license or serving
alcohol to minors. If this is found to have happened, legal action will

out of private hotel rooms.
- Engaging in any other
behavior that is illegal or disruptive. This will result in loss of
convention membership and possible legal action by the hotel

More detailed information
will follow (to include a restaurant map!) but for the interim, the outdoor
mini mall-food court is literally just to the east of the TCC, 30 seconds
away from the front doors. As to date there is a Subway, Harvey's, Tim
Horton's, convenience store (banking machine), and Swiss Chalet. Across
the street there is Orchid Café and Alfredo's- fine Italian dining.
