Renowned Artist and Tokyo native Nobuyuki Ohnishi represents a unique blending of influences. His childhood education at a school for French language and culture and his devotion to the traditional Japanese style of brushwork called sumi-e merge to create haunting images that depict at once familiar and yet strangely new subjects drawn from many sources including American jazz and movies.
His works have been
exhibited worldwide at galleries and museums to great acclaim and his
illustrations are great demand for magazines and albums. He first entered
the world of anime when he was invited to produce a series of evocative
paintings for Wings of Honeamise, works which illuminated the credits
and set the stage for the landmark film.
